Keep Phil Working For You!
Phil was first elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 2018 as part of a wave election that helped Democratic candidates across Ohio flip six seats in the House. As a state representative, Phil has focused on fighting for his constituents, his community, and all Ohioans.
During his time in office, Phil has:

Authored bipartisan legislation (HB 4) signed by the Governor creating higher paying job opportunities.

Increased teacher salaries and public school funding, securing $625 million in wraparound services.

Secured over $58 million for TechCred, a program to help Ohioans earn tech-focused credentials.

Passed a tax cut to help middle-class and working families.

Created the H2Ohio fund, providing $85 million for Lake Erie restoration.

Cosponsored legislation to make voting more accessible for all Ohioans.

Secured $250 million in residential broadband for areas in most need of internet access.

Implemented Fair School Funding Plan, a historic fix for our broken school funding formula.

Meet Phil Robinson
Growing up, Phil was fortunate to have two loving parents who sacrificed and worked day and night to make sure he and his sister were positioned for success. His parents wanted their children to have access to opportunities they did not have growing up. Phil quickly learned the value of hard work, the power of a quality education, and the importance of public service.
Over his career, Phil had the opportunity to work for a United States Senator, several Fortune 500 companies, and two national education non-profits. Together, these experiences helped to shape the values that he holds dear: hard work, dedication, persistence, compassion, and justice. These values inform the policies he fights for in Columbus.
Phil strongly believes that as an elected official, you cannot legislate what you do not know. He has seen firsthand the glimmer of hope public policy can provide to so many families. As a senior executive and father of two children, Phil understands the challenges of balancing work and family. He wants all families in Northeast Ohio to know that their fight is his fight and he is right here with them.
